The apostle Paul wrote his letter to the Philippians from a place of imprisonment. Bound in chains, facing some opposition even from fellow believers, and wondering about the merits of going on in this life or departing to be with Jesus in the next, he offers much advice and wisdom for our own times of difficulty, confinement, and anxieties over life and death.
