Worship Leaders Residential
Every year we gather worship leaders from across the university campuses in Ireland and head away on a weekend for teaching, worship, prayer and practical workshops! It is a highlight of The Hub calendar. This year we’re heading back up to the residential centre at Exodus, Coleraine, from Friday 1st to Sunday 3rd March. If you’re a worship leader, we would love you to join us.
The Worship Academy
Welcome to Worship Academy, a place where aspiring musicians, vocalists, and worship leaders come to refine their craft and deepen their understanding of worship. Our academy offers a comprehensive curriculum that combines musical training with spiritual development, equipping students to lead and engage in worship with excellence and authenticity.
Internships
Internships are invaluable experiences that provide individuals with the opportunity to explore areas of community, outreach and worship alongside staff, gaining in experience and skills through a year given to the chaplaincy.
Worship 101
A gathering for worship late on a Thursday evening for anyone to join in. A time for encouragement, prayer and praise.
Student Lunch
Each week we provide free lunches to students and staff at Belfast Met and Ulster University. At Belfast Met we serve with the volunteers from St Stephen’s parish church in Millfield and at Ulster we serve as part of the ecumenical chaplaincy team providing the much at St Ann’e’s Cathedral.
Toasties and Tunes
Each week as part of the outreach work of the chaplaincy, staff and students go to the Queen’s Elms accommodation and spend time getting to know students, singing and sharing and eating together.
International Culture Night
At the start of each year we have an international evening where international and local students come together
Thanksgiving Dinner
Each year we provide a Thanksgiving meal for up to 100 guests including international students and some friends who are visiting from America and won’t be able to celebrate in the traditional manner. It is a lovely evening of food, fun and thanksgiving as well as lots of conversation.
South Belfast Foodbank
Throughout the year at the Church of the Res and alongside students at particular times we support the work of the South Belfast Food Bank providing food donations and also monetary donations. They are always so thankful for all we do.
